Tip Tuesday - Paper Declutter

Is paper clutter taking over your counter tops & drawers? You CAN put a stop to that! This #TipTuesday will help you cut down on the unnecessary paper clutter that so easily builds up!

This task can take a lot of time on the front end but if you set up a maintainable system it will save you so much time and stress in the future!

I wrote another blog about how to declutter & the papers you have saved from years past. So, if you want more detail on that, check out this blog.

Today’s tips are things you can do to see a difference quickly!

  1. Choose the paperless option!

    • You can do that today! Call or visit the website of your bank and companies that send you bills.

  2. Unsubscribe.Unsubscribe.Unsubscribe.

    • If something comes in the mail that you don’t want to receive anymore, either unsubscribe right then or put it in a stack that you intentionally carve out time to get to later in the week. You can often find a number to call or website to visit to update your mail preferences!

  3. Recycle or Trash old magazines & catalogs.

    • This will give you one less thing to dust or shove into a cabinet somewhere!

    • While you’re at it, unsubscribe from all the magazines you’re no longer interested in. You can do that online or by calling the customer service number for the magazine or store.

  4. Develop a filing system for things you need to keep.

    1. ACTUALLY FILE THINGS AWAY INSTEAD OF STACKING THEM UP.

    2. Yes, ALL CAPS was necessary there, because everyone does it! =)

*Make sure you safely dispose of papers that include personal information.*
