Tip Tuesday - Gift Wrap Storage
Before you head to the store to buy MORE Christmas wrapping paper, check out this week’s tip Tuesday for ideas on decluttering, organizing, & storing your gift wrapping supplies!
The difference in today’s #TipTuesday and the blog I wrote about decluttering wrapping paper & gift bags back in January is that I am going to share some of the unconventional storage solutions I use for gift wrapping supplies. You can buy containers and supplies that are designed specifically for gift wrapping supplies, but they never really seem to fit what I have on hand.
The key to maintaining an organized gift wrap area is to not keep more than you need! Oh…and to put things away when you’re finished using them! 😉
You can search “gift wrap storage” and see a wide variety of options designed specifically for storing wrapping supplies. Here’s one example. Like I mentioned earlier, I can’t ever make it work for the amounts of things I keep on hand. If you think it would work for you, do some research and find one that fits your needs & budget!
I mount these on the wall inside our office closet and space them far enough away from each other for full size rolls of wrapping paper to stand up. These Storage organizers come in a variety of colors, materials, shapes, and sizes. This is just one example!
I also mount these on the wall inside our office closet. They hold gift bags of all sizes. If the bags are wider than the opening on the organizer, I fold it until it will fit. I keep two of these full of gift bags at all times. We like to give gifts & I’d rather use what I’ve already purchased or recycled from receiving a gift than buying a brand new one each time! Again, these file folder organizers come in a variety of colors, materials, shapes, and sizes. Feel free to shop around for what best suits your budget & style.
I love these Snap ‘N Stack containers. I use them for a lot of different things in our home & my business. I keep tape, tags, pens, markers, ribbon, scissors, markers, and more in our gift wrap supply box! I like that it has a handle on it, because I can easily take it to whatever room I’m wrapping gifts in. Like the other two examples above, these organizers come in a variety of colors, materials, shapes, and sizes. Be sure to check the dimensions to make sure it will hold your items & fit where you plan to store it!
